What to expect at your appointment

Here's what our team is checking during a wellness visit, and why each one matters.

We get to know your pet first.

Then we'll walk you through anything we think makes sense — whether that's lab work, urinalysis, fecal screening, vaccines, or X-rays — because catching the small stuff early is always better than waiting for it to become something bigger.

Routine testing gives us a snapshot of your pet's health.

Great pet parents show up early — and you're already here. A wellness visit with a physical exam, bloodwork, urinalysis, and fecal screening gives us a complete picture of your pet's health so we can keep them feeling their best.

Eyes

Small changes in the eyes may cause problems with vision or may be a sign of underlying diseases that would require treatment.

Ears

Evaluation can help us detect skin parasites like ear mites or fleas, as well as changes that can signal infection or other conditions.

Mouth & teeth

Evaluating the health and color of the gums and teeth helps us take proactive measures to protect healthy teeth, and can identify signs of other underlying systemic disease.

Abdomen

Abnormal size or shape of organs, or changes in the digestive tract, can point us to disease - even without symptoms.

Heart & Lungs

Issues with the heart and lungs affect the body's ability to circulate blood and oxygen, which can have far-reaching effects in the body.

Joints, muscle & mobility

Looking for evidence of arthritis or changes in muscle and ability to move helps us determine if other treatments are needed for support.
